Katina Ceremony 2021

We, the Preah Meada Khantey Cambodian Buddhist Association, Fresno, are going to celebrate the annual Katina Ceremony2021 on Sunday, Oct 24th. The resident monks and the devotees of the temple cordially invite you, your family and friends to join us in celebrating Katina the traditional robe offering ceremony (Let us keep wearing the mask during the event). Our address is 3633 W Jensen Ave, Fresno, CA 93706.

Katina Program:

Saturday, Oct 23

7.00 pm- 8.30 pm. Pirith Chanting

Sunday, Oct 24

9.00 am- Katina Parade (Around the temple premises).

9.30 am- Coloring of robe or ‘Pandu Peveema’ (Here you can witness how monks color their robes following the traditional method).

10.00 am- Katina offering ceremony followed by Dhamma talks.

11.00 am- Lunch Dāna for 08 monks (Lunch for participants and their families will be available in the takeaway boxes. You can receive it after the Katina Parade).

12.00am- Conclusion.
